The app needed to serve a working relationship with a vehicle, not a lifestyle aspiration. Use clustered around three moments: pre-trip, in-field diagnostics, and post-trip care.
The app was structured around the three use moments, not conventional categories. Visual language borrowed from analogue instrumentation — high contrast, no decorative chrome. Every state shown was a state the system could actually produce.
